48 JULY 2018 Australian Handyman
G
eraldine once proudly spent
her Saturdays cooking
pancakes for her visiting
grandson, Adam, in the kitchen she
had renovated herself. Half a century
later, that little boy has all grown up.
Today, he and his wife, Elodie, own
the house. hey also love to spend
time cooking in the kitchen with
their son – and enjoy regular visits
from Great Grandma Geraldine.
A lot had changed in 50 years, but
not the kitchen. Its once-groov y
orange and yellow loral wallpapered
ceiling, faded cabinets and
impractical bench spaces had had
their day. It was time for Barry Du
Bois and he Living Room team to
come to the rescue and launch this
time capsule into the future. ▶
