Droitwich Salt is sourced from one of the oldest and purest brine springs
in the world, which have been active for thousands of years. Since
1825 Droitwich Salt from the area has been celebrated and recognised
globally for its great purity.
In 1855 it won a Premier Class designation at an international event in
Paris.
Pure brine salt contains up to 60 essential minerals, essential for
maintaining a healthy body. This differs from refined/ processed salt
which has all the beneficial minerals stripped out to leave just sodium
and chlorine, which is linked to the bad publicity around salt in recent
years.
Droitwich Salt is the first and only known gourmet salt made from pure
brine springs. The crystal clear brine is ten times saltier than seawater,
with only the waters of the Dead Sea equalling in concentration, and is
believed to be the purest salt available as it has never been subject to
any form of pollution and is therefore inherently 100% natural.
It’s sourced from naturally occurring pure brine springs in the heart of
England. The process is very simple, totally natural and environmentally
sustainable. The liquid brine is pumped from the springs and is totally
clear in appearance. The brine, which is 25% salt concentrate, is placed
on tables heated by renewable energy, sourced from a biomass heating
unit and the water is evaporated off leaving pure white salt which is the
sifted and graded.

Sous Vide Tools has the UK’s widest range
of Sous Vide machines and accessories. Its
portfolio of professional water baths starts
with the compact 14 litre unit and it offers a
further five models culminating in a 56 litre
unit that comes complete with an integral
stirrer. But the water baths themselves
are only part of the story. To complement
them, and to enable chefs to maximise the
Sous Vide opportunity, Sous Vide Tools also
supplies a wide range of other equipment
and accessories including vacuum packing
machines, professional thermal circulators,
embossed and chamber vacuum sealer bags,
and Sous Vide containers.
Droitwich Salt is hand harvested at Churchfields Saltworks of
Churchfields Farm, a family run dairy farm near Droitwich in the heart
of England. As 5th generation farmers, the family is no stranger to
diversification, and in recent years has successfully launched award-
winning luxury ice cream and opened its farm to visitors. Husband and
wife team, Will and Gillian Kerton have opened the Saltworks, to revive
one of the world’s oldest and purest salts.
