WHERE WHO WHEN TIME

The perfect lap

If we take each sector’s quickest rider and add
them up, the so-called perfect lap is an almost
unbelievable 16m35.711s or 136.413mph, which is
over seven seconds quicker than the actual lap record
(16m42.778s and 135.452mph) set by Hickman this
year. This is what it looks like

  1. Dean Harrison
    was flying, literally,
    and truly deserved
    a big-bike TT victory

  2. Peter Hickman
    was remarkable
    on a circuit he has
    relatively little
    experience on

  3. Harrison at
    Union Mills

Cor, blimey!

For those of you who think TT riders don’t
push at 100 per cent... think again!

ISLE OF MAN TTlegend John
McGuinness delighted his throng
of fans with a parade lap around
the 37.75-mile course where he
has enjoyed so much success.
The 46-year-old star was
forced to sit out the TT for the
second-consecutive year
following complications to his
injured leg which sidelined his

TT all-star Honda campaign last
year – not that you’d know.
Because with a fractured leg,
and while spending much of
the lap waving to the adoring
crowd, the 23-time TT winner
posted a lap on the SG7 Norton
Superbike quick enough to have
stood him on the podium of the
2000 Senior TT!

Yep, this is what nursing
a broken leg looks like

McPint rode!
