THE BEST ROOFTOP BARS
Aussies Grant Smillie and David Combes know how to run
a restaurant and bar, their E.P and L.P in West Hollywood
offers a sensational slice of Sydney’s take on Asian cuisine.
Just after a drink? Head to the rooftop bar, which offers
sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills. It’s here that LA
cool-set gathers for Sunday afternoon and sunset drinks
any night of the week. Another cool rooftop bar is at
the new Mama Shelter (pictured above) housed atop a
1930s building on the corner of Wilcox and Selma. Margot
Robbie is a fan, she and hubby like to meet up with friends
there for a sneaky afternoon drink.

TASTE THE WORLD
While downtown, head directly to the Grand Central
Market to get your fix of food from every region of the
world for cheap. The charmingly named Eggslut as
well as the Bell Campo Meat Company, Ramen Hood,
McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream and Wexlers Deli are all
recent additions that bring a hip edge to the market’s
food offerings. Or get yourself some tacos from Roast
To Go, a stall that’s been selling slow cooked meats,
Mexican style, since 1952. Grand Central is a fave of
Emily Ratajkowski.

TAKE A BIRD’S EYE VIEW
Everyone will tell you to hike through Runyon Canyon in the Hollywood
Hills, but for a less-crowded hike, take to Griffith Park above the Los Feliz
area. You’ll probably spot a celebrity or two, the walk is a popular daily
fitness ritual for the likes of Brad Pitt and Rebel Wilson. Time the walk for
sunset so you can see the bright lights of Tinseltown and the cosmos at the
Griffith Park Observatory. It’s free to enter.
FLY IN STYLE IN THE NEW

Want to arrive without any jetlag? Book a flight on

cabinn altitude to event jetlag.event jetlag
