By using waterproof walls together with special water repellent grease, X-Protect

prevents entry of water into the drive gear shaft and spool shaft bearings.

Waterproofing is significantly improved as the Drive gear shaft acts as a

waterproof wall for the spool side bearing. A waterproof wall has also been

installed on the inside of the spool to reduce the chance of seawater seeping into

the spool shaft bearing.
