These pages are about us doing the hard
work so you don’t have to. We’re sent anything
from 40 to 100 new products a month, and we
really do try them all: tasting, smelling the
aromas, testing gadgets. Only if they’re useful, good-
looking and value for money do they get thedelicious.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
I like the look of these neat tins – small
enough to keep in bag or pocket without
being too bulky or heavy. More
importantly, I like the taste of the breath-
freshening mints

  • particularly the
    chai flavour.
    Worth a try.

PEAS PLEASE ME
For freshness in a bowl, these are the
soups to try. They’re created by friends
Cullen Allen and Colum O’Sullivan (Cully
and Sully) and the flavours are balanced
and vibrant. Our favourite is pea and
mint – it has
the real taste
of buttery
peas.

ADDICTION
ALERT
Not sure what to say about
these apart from... Phwoar!
Little bites of peanut-buttery,
caramelly, milk chocolatey
gorgeousness. They’re
addictive but they’re also
super-rich so one is as good
as a feast – as my Welsh
grandma used to say.

Top that one
Have you ever burnt your worktop? I have – and I’m
living with the expensive mistake. Here’s a way to stop
it happening: a (recycled) shatterproof glass worktop
saver with gripper feet to stop it slipping. There are
several designs available including mackerel and
a chicken, but I quite like this portly crab.
