And Tuart Too
Workbench World has long been
synonymous with jarrah workbenches
but is now branching out to suit
customer demand. The tuart top on
the bench shown here is as hard
as jarrah, but its blonde good looks
can make the work area lighter and
brighter. A large range of standard and
custom benches are offered or get in
touch to discuss your needs.

Your Turn?
A new arrival on the mini wood lathe scene is the
WL-14V with plenty of features and currently only
$539 from Hare & Forbes Machinery House. It has
EVS with digital readout, 356mm swing, 470mm
between centres, 0.75hp motor and reverse option
all within a solid build. Up-scale it with the optional
bed extension or stand and you could be looking at
your entry into the world of woodturning.

Lighten Up With LED
Good lighting can be one of the woodworker’s best tools when it
comes to accurate work. For bench work, the articulated lamp shown
in the centre will light up your wood world like no other – unless you up
the ante with the 3X magnifier shown on the left. For machine work a
gooseneck lamp with your choice of mounting is just the ticket. New
LED versions give brighter light for cooler and lower cost running.

Natural Shine
Frankincense, copal and myrrh are
just two of the exotic ingredients
of this solvent-free wax and resin
polish which nourishes wood and
builds to a glowing finish. Pure,
natural and pleasant smelling, a
tin will set you back around $21.
