he Executive Housekeeper’s Forum
is set to return for its seventh year at
Dubai’s Grosvenor House.
Set to be held on 19 June, the forum
will comprise panel discussions to
talk about a range of topics that are
affecting the sector.
The event will welcome more than 150 executive
housekeepers, directors of rooms and laundry managers
from the region’s top hotel properties. Collectively, the
event aims for housekeepers to reflect on how to address
key operator challenges, meeting guest expectations and
driven efficiencies among its teams.
The morning subjects include how housekeeping is the
fundamental reason for a hotel’s success at 9:05am, how
to find the right applicant and how hotels are able to retain
them at 9:20am, how housekeepers can progress during
their careers and be noticed more at 10:00am, a supplier
insight into the costs of keeping on top of a ‘spotless’ room

CHALLENGE

Hiring from different countries has
been difficult with restrictions on the
paperwork needed from different
government policies. However, once
you have hired the perfect fit, what
can the executive housekeepers do
to retain them?

Some people use this as a
stepping stone to move in another
departments, leaving a vacancy to
be filled agian. This panel session will
see Executive Housekeepers share
their practices and tips that help you
to retain employees.

The afternoon discussions will comprise adopting new
technologies and automation to future-proof operations
at 12:15am, encouraging housekeepers to drive social
media for good reviews at 12:55pm, a supplier insight into
using green cleaning materials and finally sustainably
reducing costs such as cutting out plastics from cleaning
products to amenities.
The discussions will be headed up by our line-up
of speakers such as Grand Hyatt Dubai’s executive
housekeeper, Tatjana Ahmed, Mina Seyahi Complex’s
executive housekeeper Pamini Hemaprabha, Palazzo
Versace Dubai’s director of housekeeping, Chandra
Illanperuma and Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek’s
