What is the school’s core
philosophy?
EAHM mission is to provide
application-oriented university level
education to meet the industry’s
and the community’s need for
talented, skilled and professional
hospitality managers. The design of
our programmes, teaching styles and
learning outcomes are all focused
on ensuring graduates are well
prepared to enter, or progress within,
their chosen careers. The hospitality
industry is about people, so we also
focus on the developing the soft skills
that are vital in a service environment
such as teamwork, etiquette,
professionalism and mindset.

Please provide an outline of the
courses on offer
The college offers a triple-accredited
Bachelor of Business Administration
(BBA) with honours in International
Hospitality Management, which
is completed in just three years.
This programme is designed for
school leavers who wish to join
the hospitality industry and learn
not only the managerial aspects
of hotel management but also the

operational. Students complete
applied learning across food and
beverage, service, housekeeping
and front office on-campus and
on-site at hotels. After completing
a six-month internship students
accelerate their management
studies with courses, for example,
in finance, hospitality law and real
estate. It also offers bachelor degree
graduates a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) in International
Hospitality Management, which is
completed in one year. Designed
for hospitality professionals working
full time, students can study in the
evenings up to three times a week.
The way the programme is delivered
means students can speed up
or slow down studies in order to
meet their professional or personal
commitments. The MBA is designed
to provide a high level of learning
for those wishing to pursue a career
in senior management within the
hospitality industry.

Have you recently introduced any
new courses recently?
We are continually working to
improve the curriculum and learning

outcomes across all our programmes
and we have introduced new BBA
electives this year to ensure our
courses are industry-relevant.

What other services do you offer?
We also offer tailored professional
development programmes for
industry partners. For example,
EAHM recently travelled to Kenya
and Rwanda to deliver professional
training and we also welcome hotel
companies on campus for short
courses such as finance and service
design.

Tell us about the mix of students
There are more than 45 nationalities
at EAHM. There is an equal mix of
male and females in each of the
programme and more than 10%
of EAHM students are Emirati.
Increasingly we are seeing students
choose Dubai and EAHM as a study
destination, so we have students
from Latin America, South East Asia,
Europe through to GCC and the
Indian Subcontinent. Classes in the
BBA and MBA have a low student
to lecturer ratio with 20 students on
average in a MBA class and 25 in a
BBA class.
