AIR BASE MOVEMENTS
A selection of the most interesting aircraft to visit air bases in the UK recently.
Two Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcons, 86-0292/AZ and 86-0285/AZ, from the 195th Fighter Squadron of the Arizona Air National Guard
arrived at RAF Mildenhall on September 17. The unit had deployed six aircraft to Namest AB in the Czech Republic for Exercise Ample Strike
- The two that passed through the Suffolk base had stayed behind after the rest of the jets returned home to take part in the NATO Days
airshow at Ostrava on September 15 and 16. They departed back to the US on the 21st. Justin Ward
Grumman C-2A Greyhound, 162171/51, of VRC-40 on approach to RAF Lossiemouth on
September 27. The aircraft is currently assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Harry S Truman
which was operating near the UK at the time. Niall Paterson
