Barry Wooton visited the local rifle range with his

brand new Ruger Scout .308 and at 100 yds the first

5 shots fired from brand new with “Federal Vital

Shok 130 Grain HP” factory ammunition went

0.950”. He fired one shot to make sure he was on

the paper and then fired 4 more. The scope was a

2-7 Leupold Vari-X 2. He then fit ted the Scout with

a low set of Ruger rings and rechecked next range

day and just fired 3 shots with the same ammo at

0.650”. Even though he’s a handloader he went

straight down to the local gun store and purchased

an extra 200 Federal Vital shock ammo.
