ISA YACHTS INTRODUCES ROUTE 66

MOTORYACHT CONCEPT

ISA Yachts showcased its latest concept design, Route 66, at the Fort
Lauderdale Boat Show 2014. Th e legendary American highway crossing
the US from Illinois to California inspired the project.
Route 66 is a motoryacht with loads of space in relation to its total
volume, yet her lines remain sleek and graceful. Th e design does not
achieve extra deck space by simply stacking the decks.
Developed from the 65-metre Granturismo platform, this
full-displacement yacht is a four-deck vessel with aluminium
superstructure and steel hull. Th e hull shape and bow are optimised for
effi ciency and comfort.
Th e main deck saloon has a lounge that opens to the cockpit. Th e
dining room, which is forward of the saloon, enjoys the light coming
from the full height side bulkhead windows.
Th e roomy beach area easily allows for a sauna, shower, and a hammam.
Th e fi ve guest cabins plus the master suite complete the interior layout.
Route 66 can accommodate 12 guests.
Th e fl ush deck forward can enclose a helipad. Mooring area and
garage for an 8-metre rescue tender and jet skis are underneath the deck.
Th e main tender garage is located starboard on the lower deck opposite
the gym.
Powered by two Cat engines, this 66-metre yacht designed by Andrea
Vallicelli can reach a maximum speed of 18 knots and cruises at 16 knots.
Laura Pomponi from Luxury Projects designed the beach club and
main saloon. Th e naval architecture was developed in-house by ISA
Yachts Technical Department.
Th e ISA Route 66 is under construction and due to be delivered
in spring 2017.
