How do you evaluate the importance of the Asia-Pacifi c region when it comes to Benetti?
Th e Asia-Pacifi c region is a very important market for Benetti especially with the economy growth
in APAC, we see high potential out of this. And now it covers about 10% of the global revenue of the
company. In this case, we try to invest more to develop the market.

Are boating needs of the Chinese or Indians any diff erent from the Europeans? Do you have
specifi c tailored-made approaches when it comes to Asia?
Certainly they are very diff erent in cultures and they might have diff erent needs as well. However,
Benetti’s expertise to listen to clients’ wishes and help them become true is a big advantage. We have
a personalised approach to every single client and his/her needs.

Does understanding the regions culture
play an important role?
Yes, surely we are truly open to all cultures
as we make fully customised yachts.

What is your opinion about the races,
regattas and boat shows in Asia? Do you
have any favourites?
To be honest, I am not yet very well informed
about sailing events in Asia since I have just
moved over. However, there are defi nitely
some good boat shows in the region like the
Singapore Yacht Show where we intend to
participate as exhibitor this year.

Personally, which is your favourite
yacht? Does it suit Asian requirements
and sensibilities?
My favourite yacht is the next Benetti which
will be sold in Asia.
