Hunting


Cody Ware killed his first buck at Boeuf Wildlife Management
Area near Columbia over the Thanksgiving weekend. The
10-point weighed 179 pounds.

Dylan Ball, 9, shot his first deer — this 100-pound doe — in
Mandeville on Oct. 25.

Spencer Smith of Benton got this 11-point during a bow-
hunting trip on Nov. 5 to Ft. Knox. The buck green scored 165
and had a 21 ½-inch inside spread and a 23 ¼ outside spread.

Tammy Matte of Ville Platte bagged this 6-point at her lease
near Chicot State Park in November. Her granddaughter,
Caroline Garrett, was with her for the action.

David Hubley killed this 240-pound 11-point in Sabine Parish
on Nov. 9. His father Jack and son Jackson pose with the big
deer.

Madison Champagne, 10, shot her first deer on of Oct. 26
while hunting with her dad Shawn Champagne. She killed the
125-pound doe with her 7mm-08.
