South Yorkshire, caught this

50¼lb mirror (below) during a

tough week on Cretelakes,

France.  e 45-year-old caterer

told Carp-Talk: “A week booked

on the winter ticket saw three

of us head over to France. We

thought it would be hard, but

not as hard as it was!  e lake

produced only six  sh,  ve of

which came to myself and my

two mates.” Kurt used Atlantic

Heat boilies and presented a

double dumbbell hookbait on a

size 4 Kurv Shank hook, a 20lb

N-Trap Soft hooklink and a

3½oz Korda CoG lead.  is was

 shed over a spread of freebies

at 85 yards range.

A seven-day stint on Jonchery, France, produced a

36- sh catch including four forties topped by this 42lb 10oz mirror (above) to Nick Burrage

from Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Nutrabaits Trigga boilies did the trick for the 46-year-old

angling consultant, who o ered snowman hookbaits blow-back style on size 6 Covert Wide

Gape Talon Tip hooks, 20lb Trickster hooklinks and 3oz Gardner  at pear leads on Covert

Clips.  ese were  shed at 110-150 yards range over a light scattering of freebies.
