Lined internally with a really nice sh-friendly
material this Cradle provides a safe sanctuary whilst
your catch is on the bank. e base of the Cradle
incorporates a removable, well padded mat that
o ers ample protection to your catch. Externally
everything is held together with a special heavy duty
nylon fabric and the padded side walls naturally
remain upright, even after prolonged use. Your catch
can be retained momentarily via a lightweight cover
ap should you need to turn your back for a second.
Heavy-duty carry handles allow you to safely
transport your prize back to the water’s edge. A very
simple fold out padded kneeling mat is secured with
Velcro tabs. At the left-hand side of the Cradle you’ll
nd a large elasticated pouch for securing your sh
care products. Available in two sizes, the Standard
measures 79cm x 51cm x 18cm and the Euro 107cm
x 60cm x 25cm, retailing at £64.99 and £74.
respectively. is style of high sided unhooking mat
has rightly become very popular, o ering possibly
the best means of looking after your catch on the
bank.

Anglers in the Rickmansworth area of
Hertfordshire are urging fellow anglers
to voice their disproval of developers’
plans to build 66 ats on the old
gasometer site adjacent to Elms Lake,
run by Elms Angling Society.
e Town Wharf site had been
earmarked for 10 houses, but
developers’ plans to build a ve-storey
building have infuriated residents and
anglers alike. It is thought the 150-plus
residents the ats are estimated to
home will create noise and light
pollution that will impact on wildlife in
the area. ose opposed to the
developments have until Friday 27th
March to voice their objections to the
ree Rivers District Council and can do
so via the ‘Help Save Rickmansworth’
website: saverickmansworth.org.uk.
Elms Lake, nestled in the Chess
Valley, has been controlled by the EAS
for more than 80 years. It contains a
number of carp and has been the subject
of a sustained stocking programme over
the past few years.

 e 36-year-old landscaper told Carp-Talk: “ ere were a few anglers already
there when I arrived at 4pm. ey were all shing in the main part of the
lake, so I went into one of the corners. ere was nothing on show, but I
was still con dent. At rst light I was starting to pack up when I saw some
movement and a few zzing spots, so I called my mate to tell him I’d be late
to work. It paid o at 7.30am when the rod went o with my rst forty of
the year.”
Tor Baits Squid Tangerine boilies produced the goods for Marco, who
o ered hookbaits on size 6 Nash Chod Twister hooks, 20lb Rig Marole
