HIMANO has announced some significant Egi fishing advancements for Australia’s

squid anglers. The revolutionary Sephia Egixile jig is the first key component to this

system with a perfect sink rate and realistic action. Shimano has released an exciting

eight pat terns including the classic 14T and the “Keimura” cloth for use in deeper water

and lower light conditions. All Sephia jigs feature SUS 30 4 Japanese stainless steel

crowns to ensure hooks stay needle sharp and rust free. “Keimura” cloth is activated by

UV light. Ultra violet light travels further in the water column than sunlight and greatly

enhances the appearance of the jig to the keen eyesight of squid. Shimano’s new Sephia

Egi range is available in three sizes from 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 to suit the full scope of angling

conditions and challenges.
