Government crackdown on boat street
parking – Sam.
This is ridiculous. I am unable to keep my boat
and trailer in my driveway as it is too narrow.
It is parked in front of my place legally. I am a
pensioner and it would be impossible to pay for
the fee to have it stored. I try to get out as often as
I could but this also depends on weather
conditions. What is the difference between
parking my boat or my 4WD in front of my place?
Would they bring in a law to stop you from
parking your car in fron of your place?

A very thorough article that tells all one needs to
know regarding catching a trevally at Queenscliff.
    Thanks!

Study reveals snapper catch decline – Wade.
That is when the widespread rampant damage
was done. Sure there is some localised overfishing
in Oz waters today but stock assessments usually
invoke significant regulation change and see these
localised stocks turn around pretty quick. The

relevance those historical papers have now for
Oz is what exactly? Can’t say the same for those
foriegn muppets hammering Pacific tuna stocks in
international waters at the moment however.

Good work all!

Thomas’s terrific luderick! – Robbo
You don'’ see a 50cm luderick very often, let alone
catch one on a lure. Well done for letting it go too.

Conservation groups push for 30% no take
zones – really?
Please explain to me how a marine park no take
zone protects against pollution. if only it were
true, but what rubbish. ... Pollution effects
undermine the base of the food chain and cause
insidious damage to our marine ecosystems, and
these MPAs are powerless to stop it – the problems
have to be dealt with at the source, not by
drawing lines on the water. The revelations about
disease and mortality in oyster larvae due to
reduced pH is a prime case in poin ... They just
disappear from the ecosystem and you have to fix
the underlying problem to fix the damage.

Conservation groups push for 30% no
take zones – SETFIA.
I am from the SE trawl fishing association.
We represent deepwater commercial trawl
fishermen between Barrenjoey and KI
(encompassing Vic and Tas). We’ d love to sign
up to the 30% goal. 87% of the trawl fishery is
closed to trawling due to MPAs and other
closures. Of the remaining 13% only half is
“trawlable” (fishable) meaning we only have
access to about 8%.

Government crackdown on boat street
parking – Wise One.
If a trailer is registered it has a legal right to park
on the road. Will they impound cars that park in
the same street for over 3 months? What if you
park in the same spot (outside your house) and
take the boat out 2 or 3 times a month but the
ranger just sees the same boat parked in the same
place for more than 3 months ...
