sternest asset...What is it: Lürssen’s 85m Solandge, launched in 2013 with curvy
exteriors by Espen Øino and colourful interiors by Aileen Rodriguez.
Why we love it: The brief was for areas to be enjoyed together or
apart so the exterior decks are a treasure trove of treats: an outdoor
cinema, glamorous bars, two spa pools, a nightclub, a swimming pool,
a spectacular dining table and a multitude of cosy seating nooks.
Design genius: The folding stairs that lower into the water from the
stern platform were developed on Lürssen’s 88m Quattroelle - and
visually extend the line of the central staircase. The paint job also helps
swimmers: a white sheerline and boot strap optically lower the yacht’s
massive freeboard, making her seem less formidable from the water.
