PURE DECKS APPEAL

a 29.22 metre flagship with exteriors
by Dixon Yacht Design and
glamorous interiors by design guru

tender garage doubles up as a beach
club, with a massive stern platform

and fold-down buttresses either side.
There are also two spots to lounge
on the foredeck. Inside, there are
sliding floor-to-ceiling windows
and open-plan spaces. The first
hull is due for launch in spring 2017.

ON BOARD

Wider has put in a formal offer to buy the
ISA Yachts shipyard and brand, to expand
production in line with its ambitions.
Italian builder Wider, best known for stylish
day cruisers, launched its first superyacht,
46 metre diesel-electric Genesi, in October
last year. The 50 metre Wider 165 (above)
is in-build, with delivery due this year. Italian
builder ISA, in contrast, has launched more
than 30 superyachts since it was founded
in 2001, including 66.4 metre Okto, but fell into
difficulty last year through a lack of orders.
ISA’s four sheds would allow several yachts
up to 80 metres to be built at the same time.
Wider hopes to combine this facility with its
team, with the backing of Malaysian Lim Kok
Thay’s Genting Group. “This facility would
expand our production to meet all future
demands,” says Tilli Antonelli (above), founder
and CEO of Wider, “both for diesel-electric
yachts under the Wider brand or using the ISA
name for more traditional yachts.” At time of
press we learned that the Palumbo Group had
also put in an offer for ISA. wider-yachts.com
