ON BOARD

The finalists of the World Superyacht Awards
have been announced – and you can see
every nominated boat on our website at
worldsuperyachtawards.com/2016-finalists.
The Neptunes, glinting from the podium
at the World Superyacht Awards being staged
in Florence, Italy, on 14 May, have become
the gold standard for the very highest quality
in yacht building. Each year the line-up of
yachts reveals the strides regularly made in
superyacht design, and this year’s finalists
represent the biggest and best boats afloat.
From Feadship’s sleek 83.5 metre motor
yacht Savannah, to Perini Navi’s graceful
60 metre sailer Perseus 3, beauty is the byword.
The longest finalist, 101.5 metre Feadship
Symphony, is also the largest yacht to date from
the Dutch yard. She boasts two cinemas and
a glass-bottom swimming pool with a
waterfall. The 100.8 metre motor yacht
I Dynasty, by Kusch Yachts, conceals
a staggering 4,300 gross tonnes of volume
in her sleek lines and is the first yacht actually
operating under the PYC code. The oldest boat
in the running is the classic 1937 motor yacht
Malahne, for her recent refit.

58 yachts in 12 categories.
Biggest: 101.5m
Feadship Symphony
Smallest: 30.8m Cantiere
delle Marche Acala
