Every month, you tell us where you are on the seven seas,
PHOTOGRAPHS: ISTOCK; GETTY; MARTIN KMET; COURTESY OF OWNERS what you can see from deck and your top trip tips

Elizabeth and Stanley Star
YACHT: Annastar
LENGTH: 50m
YEAR: 2012
LOCATION: St Barths

  • What do you see from deck?
Turquoise water and beautiful yachts in
the harbour. St Barths is our favourite
    destination during the winter months,
    especially during New Year

  • Any insider tips?
I recommend the Clarins Spa at
Le Guanahani. For shopping, 100% Capri
has the best linen clothing and fabulous
things for entertaining, Sea Memory has
    incredible objects and Diamond Genesis
is the place to buy watches

  • How about food?
For lunch, we fish in the morning for fresh
wahoo, and take the tender to Karíbuní
on Pinel Island (near St Maarten) for the
best grilled lobster. Our favourite dinner
    restaurants include Bonito in Gustavia
    and La Langouste in Flamands

  • Which toy has seen the most use?
We use our 14.3m fishing boat
wherever we go. Where you see
Annastar you will see our fishing
    boat towed behind it

  • Where is the yacht heading next?
From St Barths we are heading to
    Harbour Island, Eleuthera, then through
the Panama Canal to Alaska for the summer

Owner of Santa Maria
LENGTH: 33.2m
YEAR: 1963
LOCATION: Tarragona, Spain

  • How’s Santa Maria been running since her
    refit last year?
She has been running smoothly, thankfully!

  • What are your cruising plans for 2016?
This year we plan to sail to the South of
    France, Ibiza and Menorca

  • Do you do much winter cruising?
When the weather is good and there is time,
I love nothing more than heading to the boat
    in wintertime

  • Where do you tend to drift to when on
    board?
Most of the time we are on the sundeck
    or the aft deck

  • What is it about classic yachts?
The quality of the build and their timeless
appeal. I can’t see myself ever buying
    a new-build

Owner of Emotion
LENGTH: 42.6m
YEAR: 2007
LOCATION: Golfe-Juan, France

  • Congratulations on your purchase of Emotion!
    What attracted you to her?
Initially the style, layout and décor. Once aboard,
the enthusiasm and professionalism of the crew
    sealed the deal

  • How are you planning to use her?
As much as possible! We also hope to turn
her into a “charter machine” for both cruising
    and static charter

    • Are you going to make any changes?
Changes are under way as we
      speak: we’ve added a sauna,
      an outdoor sundeck cinema,
      new carpets, upgraded water
      toys and a chase boat.
      We mean business.

      • What destinations are on your bucket list?
The list grows daily. We’ll be based in
Montenegro for the upcoming season and
the coast of Croatia and Venice seem very
popular with our confirmed charter guests.
It will be great to explore the usual Med
suspects but we also have plans for the
        UK and Scandinavia someday

      • Have you owned boats previously?
Yes, but never in this league

      • How much time do you get to spend on board?
Not much thus far as we only took ownership in
December. We have made plans for our initial
        extended stint aboard

      • What are you most looking forward to?
A voyage through the Corinth Canal
