Pantaenius America Offers
Coverage For Cuba Travelers
Now’s your time to travel to Cuba! Pantaenius America
Ltd. now off ers insurance coverage for American yacht
owners who wish to take their boats to the island.
Though a mere 90 miles from the
coast of Florida, Cuba has been off
limits to most U.S. yacht owners for
more than 50 years.
“Several months ago, our legal team
petitioned the U.S. Department of State’s
Offi ce of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC),
seeking approval for our company to
write insurance for U.S. citizens allowed to
travel to Cuba by boat and to pay claims
that occurred in Cuban waters,” says
Cary Wiener, president of Pantaenius America Ltd.
“Pantaenius now has the green light and has become
the fi rst U.S. yacht insurance provider to off er coverage
to American citizens traveling in Cuban waters.”
Coverage to Cuba will be limited to yachts valued
at $200,000 or more.

Premier Marine Promotes Three
Employees
Premier Marine is restructuring its
pontoon production and has promoted
three key employees: Steve Hammond
to quality manager; Dave Grovender to
VP of operations; and Robert Douglass
to product development manager.
Hammond has spent several years
managing the ISO quality management
system at Premier and has been at the
company for almost five years.
Grovender joined the Premier team
in 2003 with a background in the marine
industry. He worked in several roles,
including R&D tooling development and
the engineering and product development
departments.
Douglass has been with the company
for 10 years and has been responsible
for managing all incoming boat orders
for all four Premier brands.
