LATEST MODEL OF BENETTI’S

DISPLACEMENT CLASS UNVEILED

ITALIAN SHIPBUILDER BENETTI has unveiled the newest model of
its Displacement Class range: the 35.5 m Benetti Mediterraneo 116’.
Th e main deck promptly shows the fi rst example of the Copernican
revolution in design and layout brought to us by the Benetti
Mediterraneo 116’. Th e six-metre-wide cockpit is quite spacious and
allows a panoramic view of the sea right forward with intelligent use of
ergonomic spaces.
Th e Mediterreaneo features two-metre-wide crystal doors that lead
to the main saloon, which provides a dining area with a table for 12
guests. Two French windows give access to the exterior walkway that,
thanks to its width, can also be used as a balcony.
In keeping with Benetti standards, the lower deck of the new
Benetti has a classic layout: four twin cabins (the two aft ermost are
VIP cabins) and two twin cabins with identical berths, each with an
en-suite bathroom.
Benetti has optimised natural illumination and dedicated every
possible inch of space for comfort. Each cabin has 1.6 m windows, 70
cm from the deck, giving guests an exceptional sea-level view.

DIVERSE PROJECTS INTRODUCES

SUPPORT VESSEL CONCEPT

THE NEW ZEALAND COMPANY Diverse Projects has unveiled
the support vessel concept Atlas, created to combine all common
requirements into one, purpose-built vessel.
Atlas has been designed based on Diverse Projects’ experience of
what owners most commonly ask to be added – or removed – from
support vessels. With a hull designed for ultimate steadiness, it has
multiple loading stabilities and is designed to come in under 500GT.

Th e Atlas package off ers an effi cient, stable, DP1, high-load carrier
with package options to add on modules like heli-decks, large A-frame,
tender ramp, submarine garage, media/ science containers and other
extras oft en required for support vessels. Having been designed
specifi cally for purpose, Atlas will be a very effi cient high-load carrier of
both liquid and deck cargo platforms.
Th e vessel is fully customisable according to owner requirements
with additional elements that can be added to ensure it fully fi ts the
owner and mother ship’s needs.

“It’s a transformer,” says Diverse Projects’ Lars Bjorklund. “A
purpose-built base boat, stripped down to basics allowing the owner to
add the elements needed, to create the most cost-eff ective, high-yielding

Performance is guaranteed by two Man V-12-1400 engines
developing 1,400 hp each, giving the 116’ a top speed of 15 knots. At 10
knots, project studies give the Mediterraneano 116’ a cruising range of
3,000 nautical miles.
