SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW


BRITAIN’S SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW drew to a close aft er
welcoming 110,000 visitors to view over 330 of the world’s leading
sailboats and high-performance powerboats.
Th e show kicked off in style with F1 presenter, Suzi Perry opening
the Sunseeker stand with Britain’s Got Talent winners, Collabro.
The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows provided
visitors with a show-stopping display over the purpose-built marina
on the first weekend, with sailing legends Sir Robin Knox-Johnston
and Olympian Annie Lush also making appearances during the ten
day event.
Guests were also able to join in the Global Challenge Sailing
Experience, onboard a 72-ft Volvo Ocean Race yacht. Participants were
able to experience get actively involved in all aspects of sailing.
Sunseeker International treated guests to the best of British as the
brand showcased eight yachts, including the Predator 57, San Remo, 75
Yacht and Manhattan 65.
“We have had yet another incredibly successful Southampton Boat
Show with more than 10,000 visitors getting out on the water for free,”
says British Marine Boat Shows Managing Director Murray Ellis. “Our
attractions have been very popular this year with over 18,000 visits to
our tall ship, the Earl of Pembroke, 5,300 rides on the Honda Boat Show
Eye and over 27,000 visitors to the show’s very own aquarium.”
