Everything about the new 38S from Dutch boat builder Wajer and Wajer is
focused on minimising maintenance and maximising ease of use. Th e bow,
side deck and swimming platform are therefore made of composite with
teak structure, a material that is colourfast, slip and wear-resistant, and
maintenance-free. A rubbing strip protects all the paintwork from scratches.
And the Volvo engines have proven defi nitively that they need only minimal
maintenance. We love the IPS dual pod as a propulsion system. It can be
effi ciently controlled with a joystick, which ensures greater operational
comfort, more precise steering and 10 to 15% higher performance than
conventional propeller shaft propulsion, with the top speed being increased
to some 47 knots (more than 85 km/h).

MasterCraft Boats introduced its luxury bespoke watersports
tenders at Monaco Yacht Show last year. It was the first time the
company had exhibited at the show, presenting the largest of five
boats in the X23 Saltwater Series that spans a range from 6.10 m to
7.92 m and comes with an exclusive Yanmar inboard diesel engine.
The boat, we tested, was fitted with bespoke lifting solutions and

there are outfitting options that can be tailored to meet the widest
possible range of requirements. It was loaded with them and they
included a tower fitting for the wakeboards, surfboards and skis
along with cool looking and incredibly powerful speakers.
