You won’t need this if you wear
your lifejacket all of the time
on the water– but many of us
don’t. The iFloat is a 75 Newton
personal fl oatation device, in
a small pouch, attached to a
belt. You wear it like a hip bag,
so in the summer there will be
no lifejacket tan-lines. While it
doesn’t offer any buoyancy to
an unconscious casualty, and
it’s not a lifejacket per se, it is
better then nothing and if you
fi nd a lifejacket too restrictive,
it could save your life.
All a man overboard has
to do is open the pouch, put
the lifejacket over their head,
and pull the toggle. The belt

device, and the defl ated
lifejacket goes over your
head as demonstrated by
thousands of airline cabin crew
on a daily basis. It will support
wearers from 40kg to 130kg
in bodyweight and also solves
the eternal problem to what to
do with your lifejacket when
you’ve taken the dinghy ashore
- just keep wearing it.
Most shaft propellers
require anodes, some
also need a rope cutter.
So why not combine
the two? That’s what
SALCA anode rope
cutter does. The serrated cutter is designed
to protect the propeller from getting
snarled up, the anode protects it from
galvanic corrosion.
The body of the cutter is a zinc anode,
while the cutting blades are durable, high-
performance stainless steel. The cutter-
cum-anode can fi t shaft diameters from
25mm to 50mm and ¾in to 2¼in.

No prizes for guessing the
country of origin for Chatham’s
Made in Britain collection.
The British family business
aimed to make a shoe wholly
designed, sourced and
produced in the UK. They
came very close.
The outsoles are genuine
rubber, with a non-marking
sole cut for extra grip. The
uppers are hand-stitched,
premium quality British-made
kudu leather sourced from a
tannery in Leeds.
A new sole has been
developed for the range,
using memory foam to
give comfort and
support.

Do you want new shoes or a handy way to hold
gadgets? Graham Snook has the answer for you
Whether you want to hold your tablet, phone,
action camera or digital camera (with a
tripod mount), the Mini ROKK from Scanstrut
can help. It’s a modular system with a
number of base plates which can be fl ush
mounted, rail mounted, cable-tied or stuck
almost anywhere, and a number of other
adjustable mounts that clip onto the bases.
So you could have one arm for, say, an action
cam, and any number of base plates dotted
around the boat that you can quickly unclip,
then re-clip to a different plate.
You may want a base plate for a bracket
to hold your tablet in the cockpit, then
remove the bracket and mount it below to
watch a fi lm on the same tablet.
