BONUS FEATURE NEW YORK CITY

THE SECRETS

One place in New York I’ve never bothered looking
skywards in is Grand Central. It’s only once I’m here
not as a commuter but a proper visitor that I bother
to and that’s quite a pity because there’s a bizarre sort
of beauty up there – the signs from the zodiac painted
onto bright blue.
A tour of this grand old terminal building that
features so heavily in our pop-culture references allows
you glimpses into its dramatic storied history. Stories
of how Grand Central was almost shut down before
being resurrected of how the train lines were made
more efficient of the meaning behind the sculptures
that dot its exterior... I don’t want to give too much away
but I will say this – it’s definitely a tour worth doing.

The One World Observatory offers
fantastic views over the city as well as
a superb interactive experience

  1. Look up when you’re walking
    through Grand Central Terminal...

  2. ... And keep your eyes on the blue
windows behind the famous clock there
    too! There are walkways connecting
the two sides of the terminal there
    and you might spot office-goers
    scurrying across if you’re lucky
