WHEN FORMULA ONE legend and TV star Eddie Jordan purchased the first Sunseeker
superyacht, he told us he had started a revolution. That was in 2007, when the first tri-deck yacht
the company built was launched and christened The Snapper by Jordan.
Nine years later with the launching of Zozo, the slightly larger Sunseeker 131 Yacht, it is quite
apparent that he did not in fact start a revolution after all. What he did was set in motion what
can best be called an evolution.
Significantly different in her external appearance and deceptively spacious on the inside, this
latest superyacht from Sunseeker is a very clever and rather captivating evolution of a hull and
configuration that we have seen before. It began with The Snapper and was followed by the 130ft
Sunseeker 40 and now this latest evolution that
is just inches longer called the 131.
Customisation has over the nine-year
period allowed for the yacht’s specification
to include: generator upgrades, tropical
specification air-conditioning, extended long-
range fuel tank, enlarged foredeck arrangement
and port and starboard main deck saloon
bulwark balconies.
As the list of requests from customers
grew, the yacht evolved. Put this one
alongside an earlier incarnation and you
will quickly see how the appearance of the
new yacht has benefitted from the addition
of feature glass in the master stateroom,
saloon and upper saloon to create a light-
filled, relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable
environment for Owner and guests.
Not only is the glass bigger and shaped
differently, as a consequence of ever-changing
technology it is thinner, lighter and stronger
