in Germany and can reach a maximum speed of 15.5 knots. The
classic-styled yacht can provide more than a summer boat party in the
Mediterranean sea, catering for 40 guests with 20 state rooms, 45 crew
members with a great variety of entertainment ranging from a Jacuzzi
pool on the sundeck, well-equipped gymnasium, two 7.2m catamaran
RIB tenders with beach landing capabilities and several high-powered
Yamaha and Sea-Doo jet-skis.
Northrop & Johnson Asia’s charter fleet also includes the amazing
Ocean Emerald, which turns heads with its ultra-modern design by
Norman Foster from Foster + Partners. If it looks familiar to some, it
starred in the 2015 remake of cult movie Point Break. Built in 2009 by
Rodriguez Yachts, Ocean Emerald can sleep 12 guests in five cabins with
extra 30 per cent exterior and interior space. One of her highlights is the
impressive lighting system that can change the bright beach house into a
relaxing lounge area within seconds.
Hong Kong-based Seanergy features the 50m displacement aluminium
yacht Northern Sun by Narasaki Shipyard in Japan for charter at a weekly
rate of US$140,000 and for sale asking US$15 million. This expedition
yacht has a 10,000nm range and ice-strengthened hull, with a top speed of
15 knots. The main deck interior has a full-length saloon giving fantastic
visibility all around, with three clearly defined areas. She also features a
beautiful, wide Portuguese-style teak deck refitted last year that’s proving
to be a chic choice for family cruising.
