DOMINATOR’S ILUMEN
REACHES 28 KNOTS
DOMINATOR YACHTS SHONE LIGHT on its 26-metre motoryacht
Ilumen after months of tests.
To keep hull motions under control, Ilumen has a Seakeeper gyro
stabiliser combined with the Humphree advanced vessel control system
that uses interceptors mounted on the transom to control both pitching
and rolling. The bulbous bow is designed to help smooth the ride in
waves and a pronounced chine is designed to keep the spray firmly
under control.
The hull of the Ilumen is based on a hard chine design with a
moderate V incorporating a finely shaped bulbous bow combined with
a hook at the stern. Dominator has used foam sandwich construction
throughout to combine high strength with light weight.
Available with two engine options, the slower version uses twin
1,200hp engines to offer speeds of 21 knots and the faster version has a
pair of 1,800 hp engines that reach 28 knots.The Ilumen will be easily recognised because of its unique styling.
The bow is high with the deck line level with the lower edge of the
reverse angle pilothouse windows. Glass has been widely used in the
design with over 80sqm of the material incorporated. – John Black

HIGH PERFORMANCE
THE INVICTUS 240 FX FEATURES an outboard powered high-
performance hull. The yacht will debut in September at the Cannes
Yachting Festival.
Her small size comes with harmonious lines and quality work,
offering elegance and comfort for guests, with several possibilities
available thanks to the forward zone that can be equipped with a settee
or left clear for hard-core fishermen.
Space on the 240 FX was fully exploited with a small dressing room
below decks, with the option of a toilet. Additional details demonstrate
the multiple uses and sportive character of the new Invictus model: the
stern platform has an adjustable backrest that becomes a sun deck when
lowered; the console includes a closable compartment with a specially
designed icebox.
Every Invictus 240 FX Owner will also receive a shore-side storage
box for fishing gear or water skis, a rack for fishing rods or the foldingawning and folding table for the foredeck, a perfect complement to the
U-shaped settee.
Invictus’ modular design is part and parcel of the 240 FX, with
the possibility, even years later, to shift the emphasis between the two
versions – Fishing and Leisure.
