advanced web browsing experience, including
pages now loading in desktop mode by default,
instead of a mobile one.

The latter change is the perfect example of
the kind of upgrade that might seem to be a
mere ‘nice to have’ for those purely using their
iPad for fun, but which could yet be a godsend
for many professional users. Even last year’s
impressively powerful iPad Pro with its A12X
chip only presented its users with the mobile
versions of web pages when they used Safari
as their browser, which served as a major

barrier to enhancing the Pro’s appeal to many
actual professionals.
Instead, with the release of iPadOS, those
professionals will be able to take advantage of
a reworked Safari browser that enables them to
work with such popular web apps as Google
Docs, WordPress and Squarespace, right on
their iPad. This represents a much more user-
friendly experience than the mobile versions
of Google Docs or WordPress that otherwise
currently appear for those using an iPad Pro
on iOS 12.
