HOW YOU CAN START EMBRACING THE
NEW ERA OF iPAD POWER

Naturally, how exactly you start to take
advantage of the latest advances in iPad
hardware and software for the 2020s will
depend on your present circumstances –
including what equipment you’ve got already.

Owners of the 9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, 11-inch or
12.9-inch iPad Pro, or for that matter the fifth,
sixth or seventh-generation iPad, the iPad mini
4, the fifth-generation iPad mini, the iPad Air 2
or the third-generation iPad Air will all be able to
enjoy the final released version of iPadOS when
it lands on the 30th.

Unfortunately, that means you’re out of luck if
you have an older iPad such as the iPad mini 2,
iPad mini 3 or iPad Air.

All of the usual Apple software upgrade caveats
apply to iPadOS. That includes the advice that
it’s sometimes best not to rush for the latest
update as soon as it becomes available;
instead, consider hanging back a little, given
the strong likelihood of iPadOS receiving
further updates in quick succession in the
weeks after its launch.

AN EXCITING NEW AGE FOR
APPLE TABLET FANS

For so many years, we’ve been accustomed
to the iPad simply being a brilliant device
for access to not only the most essential
documents and notes, but also the finest in
the arts and entertainment via a single screen,
perhaps perched on our laps while we relax on
the sofa at home.
