GOST has announced the promo-
tion of Brian Kane to Chief Technol-

sociation (NMEA).

director of exports, where she over-
saw and directed all U.S. export ship-

Siren Marine Adds
Two to C-suite
Siren Marine announced that Carlton
Schumacher has been retained to fi ll
the director of sales position and Aar-
on Pape was selected to be business
operations manager. Schumacher is a
sales executive with a career that spans
over 19 years in outdoor industry
sales, business development and cate-
gory strategies. Most recently, Schum-
acher was the national sales manager
for Victorinox Swiss Army. Pape will
manage the day-to-day operations of
the company. Pape spent the bulk of
his career with Navionics. Previously,
he was an accounting supervisor for
Elcom Industries and has also worked
for ADP and Great-West Financial.

Thomas B. Crowley Sr.
Memorial Scholarship
Webb Institute announced that Han-
nah Wistort is the 2016-2017 recipi-
ent of Crowley Maritime Corporation’s
Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial
Scholarship. Wistort, chosen for her
academic excellence and leadership
skills, is a member of the Webb Lead-
ership Committee, which organizes
community service and outreach proj-
ects for students. Her interests include
workboat design, liquefi ed natural gas
(LNG) fueling, and the energy sector.
Since 1984, Jacksonville-based Crow-
ley has provided more than $3 mil-
lion dollars in scholarship funding for
more than 1,000 students.
NMRA Offers Scholarship
Maritime Trades Student
The National Marine Representatives
Association (NMRA) has announced
that it is offering a $3,000 scholarship
to an outstanding individual pursuing
education and a career in the maritime
trades. High school seniors, and col-
lege and vocational students are en-
couraged to apply. “Bringing energetic,
talented young people into the marine
trades is vital to the collective health
of our industry,” said Keith LaMarr,
NMRA president. The NMRA began

tronics Association (NMEA) has
appointed of four to the Board
of Directors. During their three-
year terms they will be responsi-
ble for helping to create and drive
NMEA strategies, programs and
efforts in all areas. Mike Spyros
of Electronics Unlimited took
the reins as NMEA Chairman on
Jan. 1, 2017. He succeeds Johnny
Lindstrom of Westport Yachts,
whose term ended at the end of
