expanses of glazing in the roof of the raised pilothouse,

RMK YARD
GETS A LIFT
RMK Merrill-Stevens,
established in Florida in the
1850s, is about to undergo
renovations. Among them will be the installation
of a new 2,700 ton boat lift and the construction of
workshops to accommodate the repair of larger
yachts right in the heart of Miami and the Miami
River. “This is an exciting year for us as we prepare to
operate a shipyard providing unmatched superyacht
services in this part of Florida,” says president and
CEO Aaron Leatherwood. rmkmerrill-stevens.com

The first Horizon
FD87 Skyline is under
construction. The starting
point of this new design was
the FD85, part of Horizon’s
innovative fast displacement
range. Designed in
collaboration with Dutch
naval architect Cor D. Rover,
it evolved thanks to client

input. Setting the FD87
Skyline model apart from
her inspiration is a stylish
enclosed bridge, ideal for an
extended cruising season.
Designed with a high-
performance piercing bow,
the yacht will reach a top
speed of around 16 knots.
