Perseus^3

What is it: Perseus^3, the second yacht in Perini Navi’s new generation 197 foot

series. The sloop-rigged sailer was penned by the yard’s in-house designers with

Ron Holland and delivered in 2015.

Why we love it: She’s a beauty that delivers brawn as well: in sea trials she managed

16.2 knots in 21 knot winds and hit more than 12 knots in similar winds with

apparent wind angles in the high 30s. That’s sailing prowess.

Design genius: She’s packed with impressive tech, from twin rudders controlled

by an innovative system specially designed by Perini Navi, to a carbon bowsprit,

247 foot carbon fiber mast and carbon fiber standing rigging that allows for some

of the largest downwind sails in the world.
