RADIO SYSTEMfinish (the Pt. Atkinson Lighthouse) showed up once again, line
honours were secured by Hurricane, a Dash 34 from RVYC,
at 11:30 pm.
Smoke, a TP52 from Seattle, and Kinetic V, a TP52 from
Vancouver, kept the audience glued to the online SPOT Tracker
link as they battled it out throughout the race, sailing in close
quarters and trading tacks for the duration. Kinetic V managed
to stay in the breeze approaching the Finish Line, securing first
place in the Long course overall standings.
Beats per Minute, an Olson 30 from Royal Victoria YC,
sailed an excellent race placing first on the Medium Course.
WVYC’s Incisor placed top of the podium for the Short Course,
securing another first place position on the Short Course. •
