DECKVEST UPDATES FOR 2017
Spinlock's Deckvest Lite, has been given
a cleaner, contemporary look for 2017.
Plus its lastest model. Deckvest Lite+. now
comes with a harness.
Since its launch in 2012 the Deckvest
Lite has won awards with its compact,
lightweight and colourful design. The latest
includes refinements developed through
active testing of the products on the water.
The Deckvest Lite is shorter and slightly
more angular, sitting a little higher on the
chest. This design is to provide a perfect
fit every time, with a design that naturally
falls into the shape of the upper body and
shoulders. It is easily adjusted and, with the
weight reduced, the Deckvest Lite will be
less tiring to wear for long periods of time.
Once again the Deckvest Lite is available
in a range of colours using a durable
honeycomb ripstop cover fabric with a
colour matched webbing belt.
Important features include: 170 Newton
buoyancy; a single crotch strap with
recessed clip to reduce risk of snagging;
a clipping area for a VHF radio or personal
locator beacon; plus attachment points
for a chest pack and for a kill cord or
VHF leash.
The Deckvest Lite+ features the same
improvements and but now including the
option of a harness with a lightweight
webbing loop harness attachment.

Victorinox has produced its Swiss Tools range of
multitools with a black burnished steel finish but
ready to tackle all the extremes cruising can dish out.
The black burnished steel is not only for cool looks
but also gives an improved corrosion protection.
The Swiss Tool Spirit XBS has 27 functions while
the Swiss Tool BS has 29. Some of the functions
include: the ubiquituos pliers plus a wirecutter,
screwdriver, can opener, saw, ruler and corkscrew.
Maintaining low weight was a priority and the Swiss
Tools range weigh under 300 grams, measuring just
11.5 centimetres long when closed.
All Swiss Tools have the Victorinox One Step access,
which allows tools to be opened directly without
opening the pliers. They also include a lock with a
simple slide release to hold the tools securely in place.
A nylon belt pouch comes with every Swiss Tool making
it easy to carry on the job without getting in the way.

It has been two years since Musto launched its BR1 range of sailing gear for the
