Bridge 190b. The

thereafter, the diversion

ROCHDALE

Midgely Road Bridge.

Contractors are carrying

out construction works

alongside the canal. The

access steps from the east

side of Midgley Road are

closed, but access is

available on the other side

of the bridge.

TRENT & MERSEY

Barton Turn Bridge

towpath closed. Diversion

crosses bridge

WALSALL

Lock 5 closed for repairs.

The diversion route is via

Rushall Canal and the

Wyrley & Essington Canal

Bluebell on the Union

Canal from 1pm to 4pm

from Port Buchan in

Broxburn towards

Linlithgow or towards

Ratho. Cost £4 per adult,

£3 per child.

7-8 Glasgow to

Edinburgh Canoe

Challenge starts at 8am.

Paddle alone or work in a

team of up to 12

paddlers, in Singles,

Doubles or Fours, Kayaks

or Canoes, and the Open

Team Relay class along

the Forth & Clyde and

Unions canals.

28 The Amazing

Halloween Experience.

Annual family event at the

London Canal Museum,

including a boat trip

through the Islington

Tunnel.

2 The Chesterfield

Canal by John Lower.

The history of the canal

and an update on the

progress of the restoration

at London Canal

Museum.

3-5 BCNS Autumn

Rally at the Engine

Arm Junction, at the top

of Smethwick locks.
