forward to working with

and leadership into
the role from holding

the public, private, and
not-for-profit sectors,
andalsoasaformer
federal Senator for
Victoria,” Cooper said.
Cooper and AFMA
CEO Dr James Findlay
both thanked outgoing
chair Norman Moore for
his contribution.

Sydney’s six new Incat
Tasmania-built Inner

but feature a wide
walkaround upper deck,
Wi-Fi, luggage and bicycle
storage, and smartphone

improved accessibility
for wheelchair-bound
passengers.

SeaLink Travel Group has
announced new ferry
operations in NSW and WA.
In Sydney, SeaLink’s
Captain Cook Cruises will
expand operations after the
state government granted
permission to operate a new
ferry service to and from the
International Convention
Centre (ICC) wharf and

Circular Quay. The ferry will
operate daily from early
morning to evening between
the ICC, Barangaroo and
Circular Quay.
SeaLink MD Jeff Ellison
said: “Further route options
[are] under consideration.
It will provide a simple
transport solution for ICC
delegates and visitors.”

KOTUG has expanded its
offshore support business
through the acquisition of
Coral Knight, which will
be bareboat-chartered
to Australian Maritime
Systems Limited (AMS)
for emergency towage and
to maintain the aids to
navigation network on the
Great Barrier Reef.
The vessel will operate out
of Cairns, and will provide
level 1 and 2 emergency
response, with a dedicated

24/7 vessel and crew for
emergency towage and first-
strike emergency response,
in addition to navigation
maintenance.
KOTUG provides towage
for Shell’s Prelude FLNG,
and towage assistance at the
ConocoPhillips Bayu Undan
FSO, with a fourth Infield
Support Vessel being built.
Vessels are owned by
KOTUG and operated by
a joint venture between
KOTUG and TK Australia.

SeaLink Ferries

New 60-passenger
catamarans operating at
high frequency will provide
the transport.
The announcement
came after NSW transport
minister Andrew Constance
announced commercial ferry
operators will be allowed
to provide direct services
to ICC Wharf and between
Manly and Barangaroo
without a passenger service
contract with Transport for
NSW. This also prompted
SeaLink to create a fast
Manly to Barangaroo service,
using two vessels, including
the 400-passenger jet ferry
Capricornian Sunrise, from
Gladstone.
The similar Capricornian
Sunset is being redeployed
to WA, for a Rottnest Island
service where SeaLink sees
potential for growth.
It will operate from
Fremantle and tie in
with existing Swan River
operations, enabling transfer
from Perth CBD to Rottnest.
