Fortress Anchor
Fortress Anchors are precision-machined from a special aluminum-
magnesium alloy, which ensures high performance at a weight much
lower than comparable steel anchors. Since Fortress Anchors are
manufactured from a high-tech aluminum alloy, they are lighter and
much easier to handle than heavy steel anchors which will typically weigh
two to four times more. But they aren’t just lighter; Fortress Anchors hit
way outside their weight class in terms of holding capacity and all-around
performance. In holding power tests conducted by the US Navy, Fortress
anchors held 200 to 300 times their weight on average, outperforming
many comparable heavier steel anchors.
Additionally, concerns regarding the structural strength of an
aluminum-alloy anchor were addressed and put to rest by the US Navy
with this statement in their summary report: “The fact that the Fortress
Anchors incurred no significant structural damage at such high holding
ratios suggests that the anchors have been extensively engineered from
both the hydrodynamic and structural standpoints.”
Fortress anchors have adjustable flukes, allowing you to set the angle
ideal for the local bottom conditions: 32 degrees for common bottoms, 45
degrees for soft mud. In addition to being adjustable for local conditions,
these anchors are also designed to be easily assembled and disassembled
for convenient storage.
Fortress anchors have been proudly made in the USA since 1986, and
come with a Lifetime Parts Replacement warranty.

Digger Anchor
Digger Anchor brings more than one game-changing innovation to the boating experience. The
two things you really want your anchor to do well are to hold tight to the bottom when you want it to
set and to release well when you want it to release. Failure on either of these fronts can frustrate your
boating experience, and the Digger Anchor has something special for each of those problems.
Its unique grabber cleats or “diggers” put constant downward pressure on the flukes to make the
anchor set fast and keep digging down even in rough and windy conditions. The world class Digger
boat anchor ensures that your watercraft will stay just where you put it. And when it’s time to head
for shore, the Digger Anchor’s clever release mechanism keeps your anchor from bringing all the slime
and seaweed back with it. Simply raise the anchor off the lakebed then just give a slight jerk on the
anchor rope to release it. This allows the flukes to drop down, leaving mud, sand and weeds in the
water where it belongs, instead of griming up the rails and gunnels of your boat.
The mechanism that makes the magic happen has proven time and time again how effective
this anchor can be at setting down and breaking away exactly the way you want it to, and the
manufacturer is robust enough to make it your go-to anchor for many seasons on the water. The
design consists of powder-coated castings with zinc-plated loops and eyehooks to protect the rope
tying points, and the release mechanism is encased within an aluminum tube.
