the many yachts stored and based there.
Many dozens of missing persons
messages were also still being circulated.
One was for Delilah Henriquez, wife of
American cruising sailor David Price.
Price, 67, was reported to have died
when the 56ft ketch Cool Breeze, which
he and his family were aboard at anchor
on the French side of St Martin, capsized
during Hurricane Irma. Henriquez, Price,
and her 14-year-old daughter Nayseth
Price tied themselves together to swim
to shore, but only Nayseth made it to
safety while Delilah remained missing.
In the British Virgin Islands many
iconic sailing destinations, including
the Bitter End Yacht Club, were almost
completely destroyed. Paraquita Bay,
often used as a hurricane hole by charter
companies, saw hundreds of yachts and
catamarans break free of their moorings
and destroyed in the mangroves.
Sunsail reported that its bases in the
Bahamas, St Lucia, Grenada and
Belize remained fully operational,
