masterpiece

The villa was built in the
1930s by architect Piero
Portaluppi, a master
of Milanese design. I discovered
it in 2012 and set about bringing
everything back to its original state.
The salon is the heart of the villa.
The latest collections are displayed here, but there is also a
corner where clients can relax, look through sketchbooks or
at past designs and discuss their requirements. I wanted this
space to be welcoming and elegant. The mosaic floor and
crystal chandelier in the salon are both original features and
a number of my own artworks hang on the walls. I began my
creative life as an artist and still exhibit much of my work.
Just as my jewelry collections often draw inspiration from
the natural world - the Tesori del Mare collection is inspired
by the sea – so too does my interior design. In my studio,
the painted ceiling with its flower, bird and shell motifs is an
appeal to nature in all its forms.
My favorite Murano glass sculptures and 20th century
furniture are beautiful when combined with the villa’s period
details. I take inspiration from a particular time and use this to
create something for the future.
Those who choose to buy a piece of jewelry first buy a memory,
a special moment that can be relived and remembered in the
future. What better place to experience this than Villa Mozart?”B
