Lowrance’s new HOOK2 series of

fishfinders/chartplotters promises ease

of use and affordability.

The new Autotuning sonar actively

corrects sonar settings for the clearest

underwater view. Most models also

feature full navigational capability

and pre-loaded, high-detail

C-Map cartography.

HOOK2 has Lowrance’s new wide-angle

Broadband Sounder™ and CHIRP sonar.

SideScan and DownScan Imaging™

complete the HOOK2 sonar arsenal

on select models.

The series will be available in three levels:

3-in-1 sonar with High CHIRP, SideScan

and DownScan Imaging; 2-in-1 sonar with

High CHIRP and DownScan Imaging; and

proven Broadband Sounder. They will be

known as TripleShot, SplitShot and Bullet

2X wider sonar coverage respectively.

HOOK2 fishfinder/chartplotters will

be offered in 12-, 9-, 7-, 5- and 4-inch

display sizes. HOOK2 fishfinder-only

models – with the exception of the sonar-

only HOOK2 4x Bullet – include a built-in

GPS Plotter (without charts) for saving

waypoints, following trails and navigating

to favourite fishing spots.

Ranging in price from $139 for the 4x

model to $2409 for the 12, the units will

be available in late 2017.

The Beef Eater BUGG Mobile

Barbecue is easy to store and carry, so

it goes where you go. The BUGG can

attach to almost anything: balcony,

boat rail, even on your car’s tailgate,

or use it stand-alone on its sturdy

non-slip trolley.

The BUGG offers two powerful,

independently controlled stainless-

steel burners with quartz start ignition

(LPG only), a large, versatile plate

grill in rust-resistant, enamelled cast

iron and the option to cook with the

hood up or down. Dual temperature

controls deliver even heat without

flare-ups, while the integrated

thermometer ensures perfect results.

The BUGG is easy to clean and put

away thanks to smart, detachable

shelves and accessory hooks.

The Barbecues retail between $689

and $999 (without trolley), or $1299

with trolley. Colours available:

graphite, amber and red. Trolleys are

also sold separately for $319.

The Barbecues are available as gas or

charcoal fuel models.

The latest upgrade to Raymarine’s

award-winning LightHouse operating

system is already available free for

existing AXIOM and AXIOM Pro owners,

LightHouse 3.2 upgrade will shortly

become available for selected older

Raymarine MFDs running LightHouse

II, giving them all the benefits of gyro-

stabilised RealVision 3D sonar.

LightHouse 3.2 upgrade introduces new

features including Nearby Waypoint

Display; SonarChart, to build, save and

share live sonar and bathymetric charts;

wireless streaming from an AXIOM

or AXIOM Pro MFD to an onboard TV

(using Miracast HDMI), monitor or

display; AudioApp, to control popular

FUSION or Rockford Fosgate

marine head units.

Dock to Dock Autorouting plots a track

between new locations over a safe

depth for the vessel, avoiding hazards

and obstacles.

Charting options include the latest

Navionics, C-MAP and the fast-

expanding range of LightHouse charts.

New features include Navionics’

Shallow Depth Shading and Fishing

Range, which focuses on a specific

depth range.
