prefer customers to have at least two
or three years at the same job and then
many more years before that in the
same line of work. Keep track of your
paystubs and tax returns so that you can
have them handy if they’re needed.
Another thing to note is that
insurance is required if you’re financing,
so be prepared for that expense.

hand when you pick up a financed
vessel,” said Byrd.
Closing Advice
Thornsberry advised buyers to have
a mortgage on record, an installment
loan and a credit card before they try to
finance a boat. She said that if you have
those three things, it will make it a very
easy process for you.
Along the same lines, Byrd suggested
to be aware of your buying ability. Don’t
try to overstretch your budget. This will
help you in negotiations and make it so
you won’t apply for a loan out of your
price range.
