DON’T START
Since Word 2013 you’re greeted with aStart
Screen,but this often feels unnecessary.To
disablethe Start Screen you have to edit the
Registry.Hit Windows-Rto open the Run
command,typeregeditand press Enter.Find
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft
\Office\<15.0OR 16.0>\Common\General
(where15.0 is Office 2013 and 16.0 is Office
2016). If the keyDisableBootToOfficeStart is
present,changeits value to 1; otherwise,click
Edit, New,DWORD (32-bit)Value to create
that keyand then set its value to 1.
