  1. Advantages and Disadvantages of TMA
    The advantages of using TMA are:
    ●● Reduction of coast in reagents, labor-effectiveness, and
    time of processing.
    ●● Preservation of the “donor” paraffin block for further
    analysis. This is especially important as more and more
    markers have to be tested in the cancer tissue.
    ●● Utilization of small quantities of tissue for the studies
    (minimizing the use of reagents). In a large section, a vari-
    ety of tissue, such as smooth muscle, normal epithelium,
