tion). Nevertheless, considering the complex nature
of the cardiomyopathies, and the shortcomings
implicit in all attempts at their classifi cation, there


is probably no defi nitive construct that is likely to
satisfy the purposes of all interested parties and dis-
ciplines in this regard.
