Thousands of Javan rihnos once roamed
the forests of Asia. However, as more
people began living on the land, the
rhino began to be hunted by farmers for
destroying their lands and by poachers for
their horns. This is because some people
believe that these horns have medicinal
proper ties, but horns are made out of
the same material as your nails! Because
of this, these rhinos are in real danger of
going extinct. There are fewer than 80 of
them left in the whole world!
