enneco has appointed Maurits
Binnendijk as Vice President
and General Manager, Europe,
Middle East & Africa (EMEA)
Aftermarket. He succeeds Bruce
Ronning who has been appointed
Vice President and General Manager,
Tenneco North America Aftermarket.
Ronning assumes the North America
leadership role following the decision
by Joe Pomaranski, Senior Vice
President, Global Aftermarket, to
retire from Tenneco. Pomaranski
was managing the North America
Aftermarket on an interim basis.

Binnendijk joined Tenneco in 2004 as

District Manager for the Netherlands.
Since then he has held positions of
increasing responsibility in Europe
including Executive Sales Director,
Tenneco EMEA Aftermarket, a role he
assumed in 2013.

Tenneco is one of the world’s
largest designers, manufacturers
and marketers of clean air and ride
performance products and systems
for automotive and commercial vehicle
original equipment markets and the
aftermarket. Its principal brand names
are Monroe, Walker, XNOx and Clevite
Elastomer. With the headquarters in
Lake Forest, Illinois, Tenneco employs
about 31,000 people world-wide.

David Overbeeke To Serve As MERA Chairman

he Remanufacturing
Association (MERA),
representing a broad
network of members, has
made governance changes and
additions to its Board of Directors.
David Overbeeke, President and
CEO, Brake Parts Inc, was elected
the new MERA chairman. He has to
steer MERA initiatives and enhance
member value in 2018 and position
the association for future growth. As
a former Vice-chairman of MERA,
Overbeeke assumes responsibilities
from Peter Butterfield, Chairman
and CEO, Omega Environmental
Technologies. Butterfield served
as MERA chairman for two years,
from 2016, and will remain on the

MERA Board and as a Member of its
Executive Committee.
“I am joined by the entire MERA
community in thanking Peter
Butterfield for his commitment and
service to the remanufacturing
industry as MERA Chairman for the
past two years,” John Chalifoux,
President and COO, MERA, said.
“Under Peter’s leadership, the
association successfully launched
the Manufactured Again Certification
programme, issued an industry-first
publication on the accounting of
cores, protected remanufacturing
from harmful legislative and
regulatory efforts, and expanded
its services to all remanufacturing

sectors. We value Peter’s service and
look forward to working with David
Overbeeke to build on our recent
successes,” Chalifoux said.
MERA also elected two long-
serving board members to its
Executive Committee: Sanjiv
Khurana, President, Detroit Diesel
Remanufacturing LLC; and Andreea
Raaber, Vice-president, Business
Development, Bendix Commercial
Vehicle Systems LLC.
The association has three new
directors: Justin Greenberg, CEO,
DieselCore LLC; David Olsen,
CEO, Transaxle LLC; and, Russ
Schinzing, President, Electronics
Remanufacturing Company LLC.

olkswagen has announced
the appointment of Patrick
McGillycuddy as Head of
Sales Operations. He will
start in the role from February 1, 2018.
Patrick brings to the position a strong
industry background, including periods
with Chevrolet, Vauxhall and dealer
group Peter Vardy. In 2013, he joined
ŠKODA as Head of Fleet, transforming
the brand’s performance in that area
before moving into a Group role as
Head of Group Fleet Services.

Most recently, he has worked in a
strategic role for Volkswagen Group
UK. Patrick said, “I’m really excited
to be joining Volkswagen at such
a vibrant time. The brand has just
moved into second place in the UK
new car sales chart, driven by the
most intense product offensive in its
history. And our Retailer network has
also played a huge part, delivering a
future-oriented customer experience
and ever-improving service. I am
looking forward to working with our
network, especially as we prepare

for the launch of the pure electric
I.D. range in 2020.” Alison Jones,
Director of Volkswagen Passenger
Cars, said, “I am very pleased to
welcome Patrick to the Volkswagen
team in this highly important role.
He will bring with him an impressive
amount of industry experience both
to the sales operations and as a
member of the senior management
team. This year is set to be another
exciting one for Volkswagen in the UK
with more really desirable new cars
joining our line-up.”
